November has been a very busy month with a record number of groups joining us and enjoying some lovely mild weather.
Our winter Bottom bunk deal, which originated when a group of regulars suggested we look at options for sole use groups who no longer wanted to climb to the top bunk, is very popular.
The deal is for exclusive use of the hostel, midweek, for a minimum of 10 guests on a dinner bed and breakfast basis for £67 pppn this year. It is available from the beginning of November to the end of February.
With only 10 guest you can actually have a room each but most groups are happy to share rooms and are more in number.
Among those joining us this year were a group of retired Merseyside firefighters and a group who first met in Nepal in the 1980s.
The new menu proved very popular with Pork chops with mustard sauce becoming a new ‘favourite’.
